Current Roles
Dr Pinakin takes a personalised approach to cardiovascular care, considering each patient’s individual risk factors and needs.
Assessing what a test result means in the context of a patient’s overall cardiovascular risk, not treating a single number in isolation.
Factoring in family history, lifestyle, and specialised risk markers to build a complete picture for every patient.
Tailoring every recommendation, from lifestyle changes to procedures, to the individual in front of him, not a one-size-fits-all protocol.
Dr Pinakin V Parekh is a general and interventional cardiologist in Singapore with over 20 years of experience managing a wide range of heart conditions. His clinical focus includes coronary artery disease, general cardiology, and preventive heart care. He believes in treating patients holistically — integrating both specialist and primary care perspectives to support long-term heart health.
He completed his cardiology training at the National Heart Centre Singapore (NHCS) and Changi General Hospital (CGH), and was awarded the Health Manpower Development Plan (HMDP) scholarship to pursue fellowship training in interventional cardiology at Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital in the UK.
Dr Pinakin performs coronary angiography and angioplasty, with expertise in complex cases such as calcified arteries, bifurcations, and chronic total occlusions. He also holds a Graduate Diploma in Family Medicine and values continuity of care across all stages of a patient’s journey.
Before entering private practice, he was part of the interventional cardiology team at Khoo Teck Puat Hospital (KTPH), providing round-the-clock angioplasty services. He was also a pioneer in developing cardiology services at Woodlands Health, where he remains a visiting consultant. He continues to teach and mentor medical students and junior doctors through roles with local medical schools and residency programs.
Dr Pinakin is known for his attentive and clear communication, and offers multilingual consultations in English, Hindi, Gujarati, Bahasa Indonesia and Malay — helping patients feel heard, understood, and supported at every step.
